We’re excited to share that RemOnline now allows users to set and manage units of measurement for both services and products. This update helps you track inventory more accurately and streamline your operations by providing greater flexibility in how you measure and sell items.

Available Units of Measurement

We’ve added several product units of measurement across five key categories to cover all your needs:

Quantity

  • pcs – Pieces: Ideal for measuring the number of individual items.

  • pack – Package: For products sold in bulk or packages.

Length

  • m – Meters

  • cm – Centimeters

  • mm – Millimeters

  • in – Inches

  • ft – Feet

  • yd – Yards

Weight

  • kg – Kilograms

  • g – Grams

  • t – Metric Tons

  • lb – Pounds

  • oz – Ounces

Area

  • m² – Square Meters

  • cm² – Square Centimeters

  • sq ft – Square Feet

  • ac – Acres

Volume

  • L – Liters

  • ml – Milliliters

  • m³ – Cubic Meters

  • gal – Gallons

  • cu ft – Cubic Feet

In addition to pieces, for services you can use now "ea – Each" and time units of measure:

  • min – Minutes

  • h – Hours

  • d – Days

  • nh – Normal Hours

How It Works

You’ll find the new Measurement Unit field in the product and service profiles. If your items are measured in something other than pieces, you can update their measurement units accordingly.

Important Notes:

  • Serialized products and bundles are measured only in pieces (pcs).

  • However, products and services included in bundles can have different units of measurement.

For example, auto repair shops can create bundles like complex maintenance, which may include:

  • engine diagnostics, suspension check, and oil change services, measured in labor hours;

  • cabin and oil filters, measured in pieces;

  • engine oil, measured in litres.

For cleaning companies, this could be deep cleaning packages, which may include:

  • the cleaning service itself, measured in hours;

  • cleaning liquids, measured in millilitres;

  • chemical powders, measured in grams.

Measurement units are displayed everywhere you view product or service quantities, including in the mobile app—just make sure you’ve updated to the latest version.

In tables with summary rows, quantities are grouped by their measurement units for easier tracking.

We’ve also added a new variable, {Product UoM}, for your document templates, so you can print measurement units on labels, receipts, and other documents.

This update enhances your ability to manage inventory and processes with precision, whether you’re tracking individual items, lengths of material, weights, or areas.
