Sending images in the chat
There are 2 ways to send an image in a chat:
1. In the chat text input field, click on the paper clip icon, select the files you want to attach to the chat, and click “Open” or “Upload”, depending on your device. The files will be uploaded to the chat.
2. Drag and drop the necessary files into the text input field.
To view the image you sent, click on it. A preview window will open where you can:
Open the image in a new tab;
Copy the link to the image;
Download the image.
You can also go to the previous or next image in this chat by clicking on the corresponding buttons.
Image format and size
You can add up to 5 images per message.
The allowed formats are jpeg, jpg, png, gif. The allowed size of an image depends on the chat channel.
For WhatsApp and SMS by Twilio chats, it's no more than 5 MB;
For Facebook and Instagram chats — no more than 8 MB.
To delete an image from the text field, hover over it and click on the trash can.
You can also still receive images from customers.
Restrictions
Please note some types of media files cannot be opened in the RemOnline interface due to the lack of necessary API methods on the part of messengers.
WhatsApp by Twilio channels also have certain restrictions on media files (images, documents, audio, video):
you can only receive them, not send them;
the file cannot exceed 16 MB;
the file must be in a format supported by Twilio.
