In this article, you will learn how to integrate RemOnline with Facebook Messenger. This integration lets you chat with clients who contact you on Facebook without leaving the RemOnline interface.

Facebook Messenger Page Presets

This integration requires a Facebook Page. You must also disconnect third-party services from this page if used before.

Here is how to create a Facebook Page if you don’t have one:

1. In your Facebook account, click Menu and select Pages.

2. Click the + Create new Page button.

3. Enter a name, select a category, add a page description, and click the Create Page button.

4. Finish setting up the page.

You can create multiple Pages if needed.

Important: if you have just created a Page, it will be unavailable for connection to RemOnline for an hour due to blocking by Facebook.

Connecting a Channel in RemOnline

Note: The employee who connects the page to RemOnline must have "Community Activity" access to this Facebook page. If they do not have this access, there will be an error during the connection.

To check this access, open the desired Facebook page by selecting it in the upper right corner.

Click the "Manage" button and then select "Page Access".

To connect a channel in RemOnline, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Settings > Chats page and click the + Channel button.

2. In the Source field, select Facebook Messenger and click the Connect button.

3. A new window will open, asking you to log in to your Facebook account. Click Continue.

4. Provide access to the user's business accounts.

5. Select the pages you want to receive messages from in RemOnline.

6. All the required access will be selected automatically, so click Save > Got it.

7. Done! Now you can select one of the pages. If you have several different pages in your Facebook account, you can connect each page separately.

For instance, you have 2 different Facebook pages: Cell Phone Repair NY and Cell Phone Repair Boston.

8. Configure access to this page for employees: All, Selected, or Only me. If you set Selected, you can check the boxes on the right to indicate the employees allowed to access this page. If an employee does not have access to the page, they will not see messages from this page and will not be able to chat with clients on this page.

9. Click the Create button.

Done! The created channel is now displayed in the general table with a status indication. Learn more on how to edit, delete, and reconnect channels here.
