How to Connect a New Channel to Chats?

Learn how to connect, configure, edit, and delete channels for Chats in RemOnline

In this article, you will learn how to connect channels so that conversations with social media leads appear on the Chats page, as well as how to edit, reconnect, and delete channels.

Please note that you cannot connect the same channel to different accounts in RemOnline.

Connect a Channel

1. Go to the Settings > Chats page and click the + Channel button.

2. In the Source field, select a channel and click the Connect button.

3. Connect the selected resource. You can learn more about connecting each of the resources via the links below:

4. After connecting the resource, select the page you need if there are several. If you have several different pages in your business account, you can connect each page separately.

For instance, you have 2 different Facebook pages: Cell Phone Repair NY and Cell Phone Repair Boston.

5. Configure access to this page for employees: All, Selected, or Owner. If you set Selected, you can check the boxes on the right to indicate the employees allowed to access this page. If an employee does not have access to the page, they will not see messages from this page and will not be able to chat with clients on this page.

6. Click the Create button.

Done! The channel and page have been successfully connected, and you can now go to the Chats page to chat with your prospects and clients.

If, after saving, you see a warning that you do not have enough access rights to connect, you need to check whether you have met all the conditions when connecting the channel. You can find links to the instructions for connecting each channel in Step 3 above.

Reconnect, Edit, and Delete a Channel

Sometimes, a channel can become out of sync, making you unable to receive new messages or send messages to clients. To solve this issue, you need to reconnect the channel. To do this, double-click the channel's name in the table and click the Reconnect button. Reconnect the channel and save the changes.

To edit a channel, double-click the channel's name in the table, make changes, and save them.

To delete a channel, double-click the channel's name in the table and click the delete button. After deleting a channel, old messages will be saved, but new messages will no longer be received from this channel.
