RemOnline allows you to promptly notify customers and employees about events with orders and tasks via SMS.
TurboSMS is an SMS messaging service that is an official partner of Viber and mobile operators. To set up direct integration, follow a few simple steps.
☝️ Please note
1. This integration is available from the Startup plan.
2. You must have a registered Sender name in the TurboSMS service to send SMS messages using the integration!
Step 1: Activate the integration in RemOnline
1. On the Settings > Integrations page, find the TurboSMS integration and click the Configure button.
2. Then copy the value in the “Notification address” field.
Step 2: Set up TurboSMS
1. Register an account with TurboSMS.
2. Log in to your TurboSMS account and go to the section “Gateway (API) > API settings”.
3. In the connection methods, check the “HTTP API” box.
Step 3: Add a webhook
1. Go to the section “Gateway (API) > Webhooks” and click the button “+ Add Webhook”.
2. Paste the previously copied address for notifications (from Step 1) into the “URL callback where data will be sent” field.
3. In the “Events that will trigger the callback” field, select the following events:
Receive the delivery status of an SMS sent via the HTTP API (if you plan to use only SMS notifications)
Receive Viber delivery status sent via HTTP API (if you plan to use Viber)
Important: to use Viber campaigns, you need to activate it in your TurboSMS account. You can find out more details in your personal account or by contacting TurboSMS support.
4. In the “Transferred data format” field, leave the value “JSON”.
5. Click the “Add webhook” button and then enable this webhook.
Step 4: Get the API token
Go to the section “Gateway (API) > API Settings” and copy the value from the field “Current HTTP authentication API token”.
Step 5: Finalize the settings in RemOnline
1. In your RemOnline account, open the TurboSMS integration settings window.
2. Check the “Integration enabled” checkbox and paste the previously copied token from TurboSMS into the “Auth token (token)” field.
3. If you have a connected Viber Sender Name, specify it in the corresponding field.
4. In the Viber Message TTL (seconds) field, enter a number from 60 to 86400. This means that the message is first sent to Viber, and if the message is not delivered to Viber after the specified number of seconds, the message will be automatically sent as a regular SMS.
Important: to use Viber messaging, you need to activate it in your TurboSMS account. You can find out more details in your personal account or by contacting TurboSMS support.
5. To send an SMS, be sure to fill in the SMS Sender Name field. Otherwise, you will not be able to send SMS messages to your customers. Learn more about the sender name in TurboSMS here.
☑️ Please note that:
if you specify only the Viber Sender Name field, the message will be sent to the client via Viber only;
if you specify only the SMS sender name field, the message will be sent to the client only as an SMS;
if both of these fields are filled in, the message will be sent to Viber first, if the message is not delivered to Viber after the specified number of seconds, the message will be automatically sent as a regular SMS.
6. Save the integration settings.
Done! The integration is enabled and now you can set up automatic sending of notifications or send them manually 😉
On the Reports > Marketing > Sent SMS page, you can see a report on sent SMS.
