The “Files” tab of each order contains all photos, documents, and other files related to the order, both those added via this tab and those attached to the event feed. These images and files can not only be viewed within the system, but also made available to the client on the public order page. In this article, we will explain how to add files to an order, make them public, view them, and perform group actions, as well as how they are displayed to the client.
Adding files
To add a file to an order, click “Attach file” and select the desired file.
Click “Take photo” to take a photo with your webcam directly from your browser and upload it to this order.
Important: the file size must not exceed 5 MB.
Files table
All photos and files are stored in a table with the following columns:
File name — file name, thumbnail, and file size.
By hovering your cursor over a photo, you can preview it.
To open a gallery of all added images, click on the thumbnail. If you click on a file thumbnail, it will open in a new browser tab.
Uploaded — the date, and name of the employee who uploaded the file to the order.
Status — public or private status of the file. This parameter determines whether the client can view the file on the public page. You can edit it directly in the table or via group actions for several files at once.
If the file has public status, the client will see the file on the public page; if the status is private, they will not.
To change the width of a column, drag its right border. To change the position of a column, hold and drag it to the desired location.
Click on the column and you will see an up arrow next to the name (sorting from A to Z). Click again and a down arrow will appear (sorting from Z to A). When sorting from Z to A in the “Uploaded” column, the newest files are displayed at the top by date added.
Group actions
Use the “Checkbox” column to select files for group actions. Select all the files you need, click Actions, and select the desired action:
1. Change the status of files, i.e., make them public or private.
2. Delete files.
Displaying files on a public page
Only files with the status “Public” are displayed on the public page of an order or estimate. For convenience, they are automatically grouped into two blocks: Images and Files.
Clicking on an image opens a gallery of all images available on the public page. There you can view images, open them in a new tab, rotate, download, or copy links.
Clicking on a file opens it in a new tab.
