We're excited to introduce the beta version of Bookings, a brand-new section in the main menu that simplifies scheduling client appointments for services. With the Bookings Calendar, you can easily manage appointments by employees or resources, providing a seamless scheduling experience.
By making Bookings a distinct feature in the system, it can function independently—perfect for businesses that provide services by appointments without complex workflows. However, it can also be integrated into your workflow as the first step before creating orders, tickets, or jobs.
Bookings Calendar
The Bookings Calendar mirrors employees' work schedules and can be grouped by employees or resources. It offers three viewing modes:
Day View – Displays working hours vertically and employees or resources horizontally. In this mode you view bookings for all available assignees and resources.
Week View – Displays working hours vertically and week days horizontally. This mode allows selecting one employee or resource at a time.
Month View – A traditional monthly calendar for one employee or resource.
Navigating the calendar is easy with buttons that let you switch between days, weeks, and months quickly. Clicking a specific date in the Week or Month view automatically switches to Day mode.
Employee Work Schedule Integration
Days off, sick leave, or vacation – Marked with corresponding colors from My Company > Work Schedule.
Available work hours – Displayed in white.
Unconfigured work schedules – Appear in gray.
Rescheduling Bookings
Of course, if you need to change the time, date, duration, or assignee in a booking, the standard way in RemOnline is to open the booking and update the necessary details. However, in this calendar, you can also simply drag and drop bookings between time slots, dates and assignees.
And if you need to quickly adjust a booking’s duration, you can simply drag its bottom edge in the calendar (Day and Week view).
Booking Statuses
Bookings come with seven system statuses:
New
Confirmed
Pending
In progress
Completed
Canceled
No-show
Currently, these statuses are not customizable.
Creating Bookings
To create a booking, follow these simple steps:
Select a date and an employee or resource.
Hover over the desired start time and click.
In the new booking window, specify the client, duration, and assignee (if booking calendar is grouped by resources).
Add services and leave a comment if needed or do it later after creation.
Automatic Duration Adjustment
If the selected service has a pre-configured duration in the My Company > Services, the booking will automatically match it. When adding multiple services with defined durations, the total duration is summed up accordingly.
Duplicating Bookings
You can quickly create new bookings by duplicating existing ones via the Actions menu.
Creating Orders, Tickets, Jobs, and Sales from Bookings
Bookings can be used independently or as the first step in managing orders, tickets, or jobs. Through the Actions menu, you can:
Create order (ticket/job)
Create sale
If you create an order, ticket, or job, all relevant details—including the client, service, and assignee—are automatically transferred. If the selected type includes a Scheduled for field, it will be pre-filled.
For businesses with a simple workflow, you can accept payments directly by creating a sale. You can also add products to the sale if necessary, effectively selling your services and products together.
