Automatic Stock Deduction for Products in Bundles

Previously, when adding a bundle to an order, ticket, or job its products were included without being deducted from stock. Now, you can specify a default warehouse for each location in bundle categories, enabling automatic deduction of non-serial products when they are added to an order.

How It Works

When you add a bundle to an order, RemOnline checks the bundle category settings to automatically deduct non-serial products. If no settings are configured for the bundle category, RemOnline will refer to the settings of the nearest parent category.

Why Configure Automatic Deduction at the Category Level?

If you manage multiple bundles, you don’t need to configure automatic deduction for each one individually. Instead, you can set it up for categories and, if necessary, reassign bundles between categories using bulk actions—making the process much faster.

Important Considerations

  • Only non-serial products can be deducted automatically.
Since serial products require specifying a serial number for deduction, only the non-serial items in a bundle will be automatically deducted from stock.

  • With bin locations enabled, products are deducted from the default bin in the warehouse.

  • The product must be fully in stock for automatic deduction.
If a product is unavailable or only partially in stock at the specified warehouse, it will be added to the order without being deducted. This also applies to default bins when bin locations are enabled.

  • Employees must have access to the stock location for automatic deduction.
If an employee adding the bundle does not have access to the warehouse specified in the bundle category settings, the products will be added to the order without stock deduction.

Please keep these points in mind when configuring automatic stock deduction. If needed, refer to the step-by-step guide.

Enhanced Price Configuration in Bundles

Bundles in RemOnline can serve different purposes:

  • Grouping related services and products for quicker order additions

  • Running promotional offers

  • Implementing comprehensive service packages, and more

Because of this, pricing policies for bundles can vary significantly. Now, you have more flexibility in setting prices for services and products within a bundle.

In the bundle item editing dialog, you have two pricing options: Set and Custom. If you want to set a unique price for a service or product that applies only within this bundle, select the Custom option.

If you choose Set, you can then specify whether to use:

  • The default price, meaning the product or service from the bundle will be added to the order, ticket, or job at the default price for the location or company

  • One of the price types created on the Settings > Prices & Discounts page

Moreover, each item in a bundle can have its own price type. For example, in the same bundle, a service may have a Custom price, one product may use the Default price, while another product could have a specific price, for example, Promotional. The choice is yours!
